Lamesha Carter, Founder & Executive Director, LMSW

Rooted in a large and loving family—12 aunts and uncles, countless cousins—I was raised in a community where values, integrity, and compassion were not just taught, but lived. That foundation became the guiding light for my personal and professional journey.

I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington and am currently pursuing my second Master’s—an MBA—with graduation set for Spring 2026. Alongside this, I will obtain my Advanced Clinical License in Social Work, further deepening my capacity to serve others with both heart and strategy.

Over the years, I’ve been privileged to work across diverse sectors: mental health, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), geriatrics, healthcare, schools, and the criminal justice system. Each role sharpened my insight, stretched my compassion, and clarified my purpose.

That purpose is crystal clear:

As part of our commitment to elevating both the candidate and the employer experience, every applicant completes a required 2-hour workshop prior to placement. This training includes:

This workshop ensures that candidates are not only prepared for the technical aspects of a role but also equipped with the interpersonal skills and mindset to thrive in any workplace environment.
